*Returning Junior Lifeguards - Please download both sides of the application and the tuition and uniform order form and send them in with your check. This will hold your space for the 2010 Summer session you are requesting. A receipt and calendar will be sent out after we receive your completed application.

*New Applicants - Please join us at one of our tryout dates to sign up for the program and purchase uniform items. We will only accept new applications at the tryout. We will have all the paperwork you need available at the tryout or you may download it from the site and bring it with you.

Please do not send in paperwork before trying out as it will be returned to you.

Program Hours

9:00 am - 3:00 pm Monday through Friday
*Exceptions to normal program hours will be
announced for special events by note home
and/or notation on the program calendar.


Uniforms

Uniforms are to be worn every day with the exception of certain
specified field trips. Sturdy sandals or shoes must be worn
for the walk down the trail, along the beach, and all field trips.
Any JG arriving for a field trip without foot gear will be denied
access to the bus or program activities.

Required JG Uniform

Navy Board shorts with patch on left side.
JG Logo T-shirt or plain white T-shirt.
Solid navy blue speedo for the boys
or appropriate sports type two-piece
for the girls. A Speedo is recommended
for under the navy blue trunks during
aquatic activity and workouts.

Youth Aides will be identified by their
light blue T-shirts and yellow shorts and
yellow buoy. lifeguard Instructors will be
identified by their red trunks and red buoy.

Recommended Daily Checklist

1. Full Uniform
2. Sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher)
3. Wide brim hat
4. Large beach towel
5. Foot gear
6. CPR and First Aid learning materials
7. Lunch with plenty of fluids. A cooler is
recommended to keep food items fresh
and to keep squirrels and seagulls out.
8. Sunglasses
9. Backpack or beach bag to carry gear

Note: Put Identification on all your belongings!
(I.E.
Black Waterproof Marker) Everyone has
the same stuff and its not the responsibility of
the lifeguards to keep track of your things
.

In the event of rain

A junior lifeguard day may be canceled if it rains.
Please call between 8 - 8:30 for the status of
particular days activities. if JG's is your only
option, we will accommodate your son or
daughter with activities.
